If you are a Chapter 13 client of Cross Stone Law or considering becoming one, this information may be helpful:

Chapter 13 Hearing Location

Currently, all hearings are conducted by phone conference or video due to COVID-19.

We will let you know the details about your hearing. For phone hearings, you may come to our office or call in from home. For video hearings, you will have to come to our office. We have all of the equipment available for you. All Cross Stone Law staff will be wearing masks, and we want you to wear one too, please. We only allow one person in the office at one time. Please do not bring any family members with you. If you need a family member to come with you, please let us know.

In the Eastern District of Texas, we are blessed to have outstanding judges and trustees.

Your judge

Judge Bill Parker is our current judge. He is a brilliant legal scholar, knows the law, and is fair to everyone. In most Chapter 13 cases, you will not need a hearing in front of the judge.

Your trustee

Lloyd Kraus is currently our Chapter 13 Trustee. He is fair, honest, and a great trustee.

How to make your plan payment

Plan payments can be made by:

  1. Wage Withholding Order issued by the Court
  2. Bank draft through the Trustee’s Electronic Payment Program

More Information

You can call or email us at any time for questions regarding your case. Some people like to keep up on their case by logging into their Trustee account. You will receive a copy of everything that is filed in the Court. You may also request to receive your copies by email instead of by snail mail.

What if my income has dropped or I have other problems after I file?

Call or email and let us know. Each case is different, and options will vary based on the details of your case.
